High Oil Collection Rate & Compact

The DS Series utilizes a rotating, thin cicular disk to collect the sludge and oil that floats to the surface of the coolant. The equipment features a highly efficient and easy-to-use construction that makes it a very popular and easy-to-attach accessory to coolant tanks. Special models are also available, such as models resistant to heat (to cope with washing equipment) and models that utilize disks containing permanent magnets to separate ferrous sludge.

  • High Rate of Oil Collection: Due to the adhesive phenomenon, even floating scum and thin oil film can be collected.

Uses

  • Removal of surface oil and scum of various coolant devices.

Efficiency

  • Efficiency varies according to the characteristics and volume of the oil that floats to the surface and sludge. In the case of 1mm thick machine oil, the DS40 has the capability to collect 8.4 liters/h. Of course, the thicker the layer of floating oil the larger the collection capacity. For example, at a thickness in the 8mm range, 42 liters/h has been collected (experimental result). However, it is important to remember that efficiencies will vary greatly depending on the type of oil.

1) Size should be determined by first checking the size of the surface fluctuation volume.

2) When separation of collect oil and water is required, an Oil-Water Separation Vessel is available as an option.
